USC Thornton faculty member David Howard was featured in the Los Angeles Times weeklong look at the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Inside the L.A. Phil. Howard, bass clarinet in the Los Angeles Philharmonic, was featured in a video discussing his instrument. “The most important thing about playing a wind instrument is the wind. It’s the quality of the air that I push through the instrument,” he said.
